Associate Veterinarian | Paid Relocation Assistance Available
About The Position
B & A Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian to provide companion-animal care in Boaz, Alabama. The hospital provides medical, surgical, and preventive care, with in-house diagnostics, ultrasound, and recently installed X-ray equipment. The veterinarian will work with technicians and support staff in a small-practice setting and may be the sole veterinarian on site at times. The role offers opportunities to manage cases independently, build lasting client relationships, and provide continuity of care. Mentorship is available, and new graduates as well as experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply. Temporary housing is available during relocation while the veterinarian searches for a home. The hospital is closed on Saturdays. The stated salary range is $120,000–$140,000 per year based on experience, plus production with no negative accrual. A signing bonus of up to $75,000 and paid relocation are also offered.
Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary program.
- Active Alabama veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong communication skills.
- Genuine love of animals and people.
- Comfort managing cases independently, including being the sole veterinarian on site at times.

Responsibilities
- Provide medical, surgical, and preventive veterinary care to companion animals.
- Perform wellness examinations, vaccinations, and preventive health assessments.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions using available testing and imaging.
- Develop treatment plans and explain recommendations to pet owners.
- Perform surgery and provide follow-up care.
- Coordinate with technicians and support staff throughout patient visits.
- Build long-term client relationships through clear communication and continuity of care.
