Associate Veterinarian

VetnCareOakland, CA
$160,000 - $170,000Onsite

About The Position

This is more than just an associate veterinarian position — it's an invitation to grow into an integrative practitioner alongside a nationally recognized leader in the field, with access to therapies and mentorship you won't find anywhere else in the Bay Area. You will conduct comprehensive medical exams, diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions, and build individualized treatment plans. Perform wellness visits, diagnostics, bloodwork, digital radiography, dentistry, and sedated procedures — keeping your general practice skills sharp and broad. Work alongside Dr. Gary Richter and a multidisciplinary team to explore integrative approaches — acupuncture, herbal therapy, physical rehabilitation, or another modality that speaks to your interests. Provide clients with treatment options and outcomes that go beyond what conventional Western care alone can offer. Deliver clear, compassionate client communication and education. Grow your skill set over time with direct mentorship — no certification required on day one, just genuine curiosity and a willingness to learn.

  • Confidence in your clinical decision-making, with a collaborative, team-first mindset
