About The Position

IndeVets is reimagining the associate veterinarian role by offering sustainable career paths, control over your schedule, guaranteed income, hands-on support, and a trusted community. This full-time W-2 position allows you to work 4-5 days per week, with a dedicated scheduling coordinator building your schedule in advance based on your preferences. IndeVets handles scheduling, logistics, and coordination, allowing you to focus on practicing medicine. You will have a guaranteed salary with the option to earn more through additional shifts, which can be paid out or converted to PTO. You will practice across a network of trusted hospital partners, gaining diverse clinical experience and building relationships with teams. The role emphasizes practicing medicine your way, without production quotas, negative accrual, or restrictive non-competes, focusing on patient care rather than numbers. You will have access to dedicated medical leadership, mentorship, a collaborative community of veterinarians, and a veterinary social worker. Ongoing CE and professional development opportunities are provided. The model is designed to prevent burnout and offers leadership and mentorship opportunities, exposure to diverse clinical settings, and flexibility to evolve your schedule over time.

Requirements

  • DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
  • Active license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
  • Confidence practicing independently
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
