About The Position

Catskill Veterinary Services is seeking a full-time General Practice Veterinarian to join our growing team, specifically encouraging Class of 2026 and 2027 Graduates. This role offers a blend of primary care responsibilities with immediate access to Emergency and Advanced Care teams for complex cases. The practice is veterinarian-founded and owned, prioritizing clinical excellence, realistic scheduling, and team well-being. The new graduate opportunity includes impressive earning potential, a built-in career path for growth into ER, Advanced Care, or leadership, production bonuses, real mentorship in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine, and the chance to start in a brand-new, state-of-the-art hospital opening in 2026. Catskill Veterinary Services is the primary hub for veterinary care in Sullivan County, the Hudson Valley, and beyond, operating a "Full Scope" network with home bases in Rock Hill or Middletown for comprehensive wellness and primary care, and a location in Newburgh for Emergency & Advanced Care, providing a robust internal referral network and a "Full Scope" safety net for new GPs. The role emphasizes managing preventative care, dermatology, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine, fostering a collaborative culture where learning and asking questions are encouraged, and providing a supportive environment where "I don't know, can you help me?" is seen as a strength. The "Dream Team" support system includes Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) and experienced assistants who handle technical tasks like drawing blood, placing catheters, and inducing anesthesia, allowing the veterinarian to focus on medicine and client communication. Management is floor-savvy, ensuring smooth schedules and workflow protection. The practice is located in the Hudson Valley, offering a lower cost of living, more land, less traffic than NYC, and access to outdoor activities and a vibrant arts and dining scene.
