About The Position

Business Insider is hiring an Associate UX/UI Designer to join our UXD team to support the creation of thoughtful, user-centered experiences across our products while developing foundational design skills and strong cross-functional collaboration. Business Insider is for people who are driven, optimistic and always looking forward. Our mission is to inspire action through thought-provoking stories. We tell our audience what they want and need to know to improve their lives and the world with storytelling that is accessible, smart, sometimes unexpected, and always helpful. Our team members embody and uphold Business Insider’s three core values: we are all one team, we are effective, and we get better every day. Our Product & Tech team excels through meaningful collaboration — internally and across the entire organization. We cultivate an environment of mutual respect, empathy, and kindness while delivering thoughtful, high-impact work. With a bias toward action and a unified team approach, we tackle every challenge together, supporting one another to achieve exceptional results. As an Associate UX/UI Designer, you’ll be fully supported by Senior Designers to continually hone and develop your UX skills, while also having many opportunities to exercise those skills across all of our Business Insider products to elevate user experiences. This role has a strong emphasis on skill development, feedback, and growth. You’ll contribute to multiple projects while building fluency in BI’s design systems, tools, and workflows. You’ll be encouraged to explore multiple solutions, ask questions, and iterate thoughtfully. The Associate UX/UI Designer reports directly to the Group UXD Manager and sits on the Product & Tech team. This position is based in our New York City HQ with an in-office presence.
