This role is for an experienced supervisor who is passionate about clinician formation and wants to lead a practicum program within an institution designed to support high training ideals. The Associate Training Director for Practicum (ATD) is a system-wide leadership role responsible for the master's-level practicum program across all clinic sites. The ATD will consult with, develop, and guide clinic-based supervisors, ensuring adherence to the clinic's formation framework. While carrying a small direct supervision load, the primary function is to architect the system, provide reflective consultation to supervisors, maintain fidelity across sites, and ensure supervision is a developmental discipline. The ATD will also serve as a reflective consultant to site-level units and play a key role in the transition from practicum to the Post-Master's Fellowship (PMF). The central task involves scaffolding practicum students over a 9-12 month period towards competencies required for entry into post-degree supervised practice, designing structures, seminars, and relationships to bridge this gap. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical formation, systems thinking, and the ability to build and maintain a robust developmental scaffolding system.
