Associate Therapist-Hybrid (Los Angeles/Santa Monica, California)

Stella Mental Health•Los Angeles, CA
•$33 - $35•Hybrid

About The Position

Stella is seeking a pre-licensed therapist passionate about individual therapy and working with adults facing complex mental health challenges as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary treatment team. The role is particularly suited to associates earlier in accumulating supervised clinical hours who want to deepen their clinical skills and grow with the team. The work is predominantly individual psychotherapy with adults, with some group, couples, or family therapy through the Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program. Therapists support patients in integrating experiences from interventional psychiatry treatments into their lives and ongoing treatment, and work with patients who have complex trauma histories, treatment-resistant depression, and/or multiple co-occurring conditions. The typical 40-hour work week includes approximately 25 hours of client-facing work, primarily individual therapy; 8 hours of clinical documentation and treatment planning; and 7 hours of team consultation, individual supervision, and group supervision. Required hours are 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Pacific, Monday through Friday. The hybrid schedule includes two days per week in person at the Downtown Los Angeles or Encinitas office and three days per week virtual. Stella provides a steady flow of patients, supervised hours toward licensure, clinical supervision from experienced therapists, collaboration with psychiatrists, and interdisciplinary case discussions. The team emphasizes consultation and collaboration so therapists are not left to carry difficult cases alone. Stella also describes diversity, equity, and inclusion as essential organizational values, aiming to provide patient-centered care that respects and celebrates diversity, promotes equity and inclusion, and improves health outcomes.
