Associate Therapist (Intake)

Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is an acute psychiatric and behavioral facility offering inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents, and adults. Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required (MSW, MFT)
- At least two (2) years experience with one (1) year in a behavioral or psychiatric setting preferred.
- Combination education and experience acceptable
- Must have California issued associate level registration or higher.

- Previous experience in a mental healthcare hospital environment where your attention was focused on human behavior, psychiatry, psychology, or other mental healthcare situations.
Responsibilities
- Conducts Intake Assessments to determine medical necessity in an inpatient psychiatric facility.
- Counsels individuals and groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse, mental or behavioral health issues, and/or family situations.
- Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans.
- Provides psychotherapeutic services to all patients and their families.
- Serves as a member of an interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy.
