About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Boeing Defense, Space & Security organization is seeking an Associate Test Engineer in Heath, Ohio. The role supports development and overhaul of hardware and software redesign strategies for test equipment used in mechanical and electronics testing of U.S. Strategic Deterrence Systems, including U.S. Air Force Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Guidance Systems, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy Guidance Systems, and other military programs. The engineer works with multidisciplinary teams in a casual but professional environment to develop, integrate, test, and deliver solutions. The work includes supporting a phase-gate project management process; interpreting engineering data; developing test methods and procedures; designing component- and subassembly-level hardware or software; and evaluating test data. As test equipment is overhauled or replaced due to obsolescence, the engineer may create, revise, and review drawings and documents and conduct equipment testing and qualification. The position also involves collaboration with program management, design authority engineering groups, operations, and government customer counterparts. The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; an interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance is required after starting.
