About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Test Engineer in Heath, Ohio. The role supports development and overhaul of hardware and software redesign strategies for test equipment used to test mechanical and electronic systems for U.S. strategic deterrence, Air Force and Navy guidance systems, and other military programs. The engineer works with multidisciplinary teams to develop, integrate, test, and deliver solutions in a casual but professional environment. Boeing describes long-term potential for growth into technical leadership or management roles. The position supports engineering activities throughout a gated project management process, including interpreting engineering data, developing test methods and procedures, designing hardware or software, coordinating test-equipment manufacture and assembly, and evaluating test data. As equipment is replaced due to obsolescence, responsibilities also include revising drawings and documents and testing and qualifying overhauled equipment. The role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance after starting, for which U.S. citizenship is required. It must also meet U.S. export-control requirements; a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. Boeing will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. The position is not safety-sensitive and is not contingent upon program award.

  • Assist in developing test debrief materials.
  • Collaborate with program management, design-authority engineering groups, operations, and government customer counterparts.
  • Create, revise, and review drawings and documents as assemblies, instruments, cables, and interfaces are replaced due to obsolescence; conduct testing and qualification of overhauled test equipment.
