PURPOSE OF JOB: The Associate Territory Manager (ATM) is a quota-carrying, developmental field sales role focused on growing new business in underpenetrated or greenfield geographies. The ATM is responsible for driving procedural growth, supporting physicians in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke, and executing strategic sales plans in collaboration with the Area Sales Director and other relevant Route 92 stakeholders. This role is designed for high-potential candidates seeking to transition into a territory manager role. It includes structured mentorship, a defined quota, and a twelve-to eighteen-month performance period designed to assess territory viability and ATM readiness to proceed into a TM role. This ATM will support San Mateo, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Oakland, Berkley, etc.

Requirements

  • Must live in the assigned territory or be relocating to the assigned territory prior to hire
  • Ability to understand customer needs, support sales strategies, and contribute to territory growth independently and in partnership with Territory Managers.
  • Comfort in procedure-based hospital settings and desire to develop deep clinical product knowledge to support cases and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Openness to feedback with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Self-starter mentality with strong personal ownership of tasks and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain organization in a fast-paced, field-based role.
  • 5+ years of experience of relevant experience within the healthcare space (Clinical Account Manager, Field Clinical Engineer, Interventional Radiology Technologist, or internal candidate with relevant Route 92 experience)
  • Demonstrated success supporting sales teams in procedure-based environments
  • Strong desire to transition into a Territory Manager role within 12-18 months
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to travel within the territory up to 60%

Responsibilities

  • Build new business by identifying, targeting, and converting accounts within an assigned greenfield or underdeveloped territory
  • Support neurovascular procedures by delivering high-quality clinical education and in-case support to physicians and stroke teams
  • Effectively communicate the clinical, operational, and economic value proposition of the R92 portfolio
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align resources, marketing support, and customer training
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, with accountability to accurately forecast revenue
  • Participate in regular coaching and mentorship sessions with aligned Route 92 stakeholders
  • Engage in business reviews and performance evaluations at key intervals to assess skill and behavioral progression.
