About The Position

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. This entry level role is part of New Glenn Avionics Hardware Solutions Team, supporting Blue Origin’s mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows for the future. We are looking for someone to apply their skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact the program. Requirements

  • Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
  • Prior experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, electronic industries or relevant
  • Experience in organizing files and documents
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
  • Familiarity with various hand and power tools and correct usage.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of supply chain experience
  • Experience working with a cross functional team across organizational boundaries
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office suite (particularly MS Excel)
  • Outstanding written/verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills and finely tuned attention to detail
  • Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles

Responsibilities

  • Material handling and parts staging
  • Basic kitting support
  • Inventory tracking
  • Data entry and work order logging
  • Housekeeping and 5S maintenance
  • Tool and consumable inventory management
  • Conduct parts procurement from vendors
  • Novice assembly skills
