About The Position
We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Entry-Level Associate Technicians. This is a great opportunity to build experience in the electrical utility field. We offer full training, a strong total compensation package and a supportive working environment.
Requirements
- 0-2+ years of utility staking or electric utility field experience
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable walking on uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Learn to stake and map power line routes for electric distribution utilities
- Work with GPS and GIS/GNSS tools
- Utilize GPS to collect and record field data
- Apply GIS software tools to draft and design utility infrastructure layouts
- Work with landowners and team members to support construction planning
- Assist in permitting and easement activities
- Maintain and care for field tools and equipment
- Travel to job sites across the region using company-provided vehicle and equipment
- Support a variety of tasks based on project needs
