This role involves performing technical writing to support all phases of Technical Order (TO) sustainment and development. The Associate Technical Writer will research technical data, organize ideas, and use clear communication skills to document procedural content. They will collaborate with engineers to translate complex engineering concepts into clear and concise TO content. Key responsibilities include converting MS Word-based or non-editable technical data into Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) TO manuals, incorporating Air Force (AF) TO Forms 22 and 252 redline change requests into legacy TOs, and incorporating approved internal and external review comments into legacy TOs. The work must be performed in accordance with AF TO requirements, DoD MIL-STDs, and SENSOR Internal Operating Procedures (IOP), Joint Internal Operating Procedures (JIOP), and other contractor-specific internal processes.
