About The Position

We are seeking a visionary Associate Technical Director to lead the development and implementation of innovative technical solutions across our diverse portfolio of projects, including modern data and analytics platforms built on Microsoft Fabric. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining architectural visions, collaborating with clients to clarify project requirements, advocating for the value of robust architecture, and fostering collaboration to achieve optimal project outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture and technical design.
  • Specialization in cloud architecture and integration solutions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in system design, API development, infrastructure management, and architectural best practices.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in technical teams.
  • Define, inspire, and drive the execution of architectural visions across multiple projects.
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering production solutions on Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, lakehouse and warehouse design, Data Factory pipelines, and Power BI semantic models.
  • Ability to guide clients through moving from legacy Azure data services or on-prem BI into Fabric.
  • Understanding of capacity planning, governance, and security in a Fabric environment.
  • Interest in client engagements and all subsequent project discussions.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present a unified and strategic vision for every initiative.
  • Stay informed about the latest technology trends and industry standards.
  • Understand that the best architectural solution is the one that aligns with business objectives and user needs.
  • Grasp the foundational principles of system architecture—from scalability to security to performance optimization and beyond.
  • Compelling, insightful, and impactful presentations.
  • Active listening skills.
  • A deep understanding of various technologies, programming languages, frameworks, and architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, cloud computing, APIs) is essential.
  • Ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable architectures that align with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Managing projects effectively, including scope, timelines, and resources, is essential for successful solution delivery.
  • Understanding client needs, industry dynamics, and business processes is essential for providing tailored solutions that drive value and meet specific client objectives.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering solutions on Microsoft Fabric, including data engineering, data warehousing, and analytics workloads, with a working knowledge of related Azure data services.

Responsibilities

  • Define elegant system architecture that meets complex project requirements, from application and integration layers to unified data platforms on Microsoft Fabric, then drive clarity, alignment, and execution of these architectures.
  • Provide end-to-end technical leadership and supervision for projects, navigating scope, risks, and 3rd parties to ensure successful delivery within budget and timeline; also lead the delivery of technically-focused initial engagements such as code audits and POC phases.
  • Provide oversight and direction for a portfolio of client engagements.
