About The Position

Box is seeking an Associate Technical Consultant to partner with enterprise customers as a technical advisor and builder. The role connects business strategy with technical execution by translating customer requirements into scalable solutions, technical roadmaps, and API integration strategies. The consultant designs and deploys custom integrations and AI-enabled workflows that extend Box's platform, and guides customers through implementation, configuration, and content migration. The role also leads technical discovery and architecture discussions, uses modern AI developer tools to improve delivery velocity and code quality, and works with Box Product, GTM, and Sales teams to represent customer needs and deliver an effective client experience. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office at least three days per week. The role is eligible for equity and benefits. The stated base salary range is $98,000–$122,500 for San Francisco and Redwood City; compensation depends on factors including skills, experience, and work location.

Requirements

At least 2 years of technical experience.
At least 2 years of customer-facing experience, preferably in a consultative role.
At least 2 years of experience working with SaaS and cloud technologies.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfort working with one or more of Python, Java, C#, Ruby, or .NET.
Understanding of the application development lifecycle and RESTful API design concepts, with experience scripting against APIs at scale.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with single sign-on standards such as OAuth and SAML, OpenID, and Active Directory.
Familiarity with data analysis, mapping, and migration.
Experience developing, testing, and deploying an application end to end.
Exposure to or experience with database administration and/or ETL.
Experience with information security.
Familiarity with iOS and/or Android mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

Partner with enterprise clients as a trusted technical advisor to translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions, actionable technical roadmaps, and API integration strategies.
Design, develop, and deploy production-grade custom technical solutions and integrations that extend Box's capabilities and enable advanced AI workflows.
Guide customers through implementation of core Box platform capabilities, including technical configurations and content migrations.
Lead technical discovery sessions and architectural reviews with executive, business, and engineering stakeholders.
Use modern AI developer tools and automated workflows to increase delivery velocity, improve code quality, and produce consulting artifacts.
Collaborate with Box Product, GTM, and Sales teams to advocate for customer needs, influence product evolution, and deliver a seamless client experience.
