Requirements

  • 8+ years Java/Spring Boot development and architecture.
  • Production experience with Apache Kafka / Confluent Platform.
  • OpenShift / Kubernetes container orchestration expertise.
  • Amazon EKS, IRSA, Karpenter, managed node groups.
  • Event-driven microservices patterns (CQRS, event sourcing, Saga).
  • Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration experience.
  • IBM MQ / Oracle AQ messaging systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead per-SYSID deep-dive assessments (15 SYSIDs across Sprints 2–3).
  • Design L2 sequence diagrams and data-flow diagrams for all Tier 1 SYSIDs.
  • Define Confluent Kafka topic topology, partition strategy, and message ordering per business process.
  • Design interim-state architectures showing current → target transition per SYSID.
  • Lead Oracle AQ → Confluent Kafka migration patterns.
  • Define microservices boundaries per SYSID (service decomposition).
  • Assess Spring Boot migration path for each Java engine and batch workload.
  • Design Step Functions state machines for MBN/MBC batch orchestration.
  • Create current-state and future-state comparison diagrams.
