Voices College Bound Language Academies•Stockton, CA

About The Position

Voices College-Bound Language Academies is a public charter school network preparing learners for higher education through a rigorous English and Spanish dual-immersion program. Its sociocultural approach emphasizes collaboration, language development, culturally sustaining practices, developmentally responsive instruction, and reflective, data-informed teaching. The school’s goal is for every learner to graduate bilingual and biliterate. The Dual Immersion Associate Teacher creates a nurturing, language-rich classroom for young children. Working with the school team under the guidance of the teacher of record and leadership team, the associate teacher facilitates and supplements developmentally appropriate lessons and assessments that support oral language, social-emotional growth, and content knowledge in both program languages. The role involves observing children to guide instruction, building relationships with families, and helping create a safe classroom community where children can participate, communicate, and take learning risks. The associate teacher also partners with colleagues and volunteers to maintain an organized, responsive learning environment and support each child’s development. This is a non-exempt, at-will position that follows a 10-month calendar and reports directly to the Business Manager. The position may be full-time or part-time. Medical, dental, and vision benefits and paid holidays are available to full-time employees only.
