About The Position

Associate Teachers assist in the delivery of an infant, toddler program based on the individual and group's educational, intellectual, physical, social, and emotional potential of the children enrolled. Assist in managing the classroom environment. Assist with preparing and maintaining documentation in compliance with Head Start performance standards and standard operating procedures. Assists in the classroom environment and works with the classroom teaching team to deliver quality education services. In accordance with Head Start performance standards, ACF, licensing and organization guidelines, assists in implementing a preschool or infant/toddler program based on parent input and individual children's intellectual, physical, social and emotional needs and Assists with daily activities based on children's needs and interests which stimulate learning in all developmental areas (physical, social, emotional, and intellectual) for a class of 16 children which may involve some children with disabilities Organizes and cleans classroom materials and equipment to provide a safe, supportive age-appropriate environment for children. Assists in an annual inventory of existing classroom materials and equipment and future needs. Participate in the preparation, setup, and cleanup of meals and snacks. Eats the meal/snack together "family style" with the children. Administers first aid and prepares and submits accident reports. Is responsible for regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule and Clayton Educare policies. Demonstrates responsible professional behavior by participating effectively within and across Ensure that the classroom and work room is clean and orderly. Actively participates in training programs, workshops, and meetings concerning teaching methods, approaches, and other topics relating to early childhood development Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the quality of Clayton Educare education

Requirements

  • Must be ECT qualified by either being level 2 in PDIS OR having taken ECE 101 and ECE103
  • CPR Certification
  • Current PPD-TB and physical examination
  • Successfully pass a Colorado Bureau of Investigation and Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal background checks
  • Pass a National Sex Offender Registry Check
  • Highly motivated self-starter and dynamic ambassador for the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust style to communicate to diverse groups
