Associate - Tax - Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits
About The Position
The Tax Department is seeking an associate with a minimum of 2 years of benefits & compensation experience. Latham & Watkins LLP will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the City of Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO). Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of benefits & compensation experience.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients around the world on a full spectrum of corporate transactions and representations.
- Handle challenging compensation, employee benefits, and employment issues facing businesses.
- Tailor compensation arrangements in the context of multi-billion dollar mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.
- Address complex multi-jurisdictional employment and employee benefits matters.
- Optimize plan design to account for tax and securities law considerations.
- Partner with clients and work as an integrated part of their team.
- Develop commercial and practical workforce solutions with clients.
