About The Position

The Casual/Seasonal Associate Tax Consultant assists the Tax and Accounting team with preparing tax returns and providing administrative support. The position is temporary and part-time, running from January 2027 to mid-April 2027. It is open to the Fond du Lac, Sun Prairie, Dodgeville, Prairie du Sac, or Lancaster, Wisconsin office locations. The role works with tax, accounting, and financial professionals to produce services for agricultural producers and offers an opportunity to develop farm tax knowledge specific to the agricultural industry.

Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe applications, and tax and accounting software.
Self-motivated and driven to learn and grow.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Compeer is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of one year of tax return preparation preferred.
Knowledge of agriculture and agricultural operations is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist Tax Consultants with inputting client financial information for annual payroll filings, monthly accounting, and federal and state tax returns.
Collaborate with CPAs, EAs, and tax and accounting professionals to produce quality financial products and services for agricultural producers.
Develop farm tax knowledge specific to the agricultural industry.
Provide administrative support, including organizing documents, scanning, printing, and mailing.
