About The Position

Northrop Grumman is hiring an Associate Systems Safety Engineer for its Strategic Deterrent Systems Division in Huntsville, Alabama. The position joins the Systems Engineering Integration and Test team on the Sentinel program. The role performs systems engineering analyses across the product lifecycle, from concept and design through fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. It also translates customer or product requirements into total systems solutions while accounting for technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Requirements

Be completing or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution.
Major or have majored in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.

Nice To Haves

Overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Conduct analyses across all levels of the total system product lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
Convert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
