About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Associate PATHWAYS Supply Chain Planning Specialist. This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in Baltimore, MD. This position will be in the Pathways rotational program where there will be three rotation opportunities within global supply chain. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Global Supply Chain organization. Rotations within the program may be aligned to core areas of Global Supply Chain such as procurement, program planning, supplier quality and other related work scopes.

Requirements

Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
Be majoring in or having majored in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or related field.
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Nice To Haves

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork, capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Exposure or experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP, and Microsoft Office skills, including Excel formulas, pivot tables and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Creation of a standard material purchase order (SMAT) in SAP.
Understand the basic steps to create and issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) using SAP.
Reviewing supplier quotations and conducting pricing negotiations. Perform basic price analysis.
Maintaining documentation using the eFile system and requirements.
Navigating PrOP to include the understanding of procedures used on all purchase orders.
How to release a purchase order in SAP.
How to implement a purchase order change order.
How to access and manage buyer purchase requisition work queue.
How to use Ariba and Onboard a new supplier.
Understand the general procurement timeline and steps to complete PO release within 30 day cycle time.
Learn organizational skills required to manage work queue.
Acting as supplier lead for Non-Category Management suppliers and involved in status meetings, expediting material, and issue resolution.
Participating in Program Meetings and other functional meetings concerning the Program, including Page and Lines
Creating requisitions for Program and NGMS material through the M903/M922 process
Tracking Program related KPI Metrics, e.g., Late to Release Reqs., On-Time delivery to MRP, etc.
Supporting CAMs with procurement activities, including req. releases, quote and negotiation activities, and procurement documentation
Supporting smaller Proposals and creating BOEs for those proposals
Supporting continuous improvement projects
