Associate, Steam and Sauna Manufacturing
About The Position
Watkins Wellness is hiring a Manufacturing Associate to join its Production team. This hands-on production role assembles steam generators, boilers, and related components for the steam product line. Work includes electrical component assembly, wiring, mechanical assembly, testing, and other manufacturing operations. The associate follows blueprints, production instructions, manufacturing specifications, and assembly documentation to build products accurately and efficiently. The role also supports sauna production through cross-training during slower periods and may support other manufacturing areas as business needs change. Success requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently with limited supervision, and a commitment to quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, schematics, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes and products.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move 75–100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of manufacturing, production, assembly, woodworking, or related hands-on experience.
- Experience assembling electrical components in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Basic woodworking or manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Assemble steam generators, boilers, and related subassemblies according to prints, production instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
- Perform electrical component assembly, wiring, and mechanical assembly tasks.
- Conduct electrical and functional testing of completed units and work with team members to verify product performance and quality.
- Cross-train in sauna production and support other manufacturing areas as business needs shift.
- Partner with coworkers to review work, maintain an organized and safe work environment, and contribute ideas to improve efficiency and product quality.
