To fuel that growth, we have another exciting opportunity as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist - Licensing. In this role, you will support leadership in complex insurance licensing initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and drive process improvements and procedural enhancements. This position offers a strategic opportunity to influence operational efficiency and strengthen compliance across the organization. This role is part of the Licensing Team within the Regulatory Affairs department and plays a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance while leading organization-wide improvements in licensing processes and operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred in Business Administration, Operations, Legal, Accounting, or related fields - or recognized equivalent in education and experience, required
  • Minimum of two years of experience supporting licensing functions within a regulated industry is required, with a preference for insurance or financial services experience.
  • At least three years of experience in a customer service role and/or administrative role is required
  • Possess strong administrative and computing skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow, Monday.com, and Power BI preferred
  • Familiarity with automation technologies is a plus
  • Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Train and mentor department staff on licensing processes, systems, and work items.
  • Manage and coordinate workflows across assigned licensing functions, including TPA, MGA, and reinsurance licensing activities.
  • Monitor and optimize daily licensing operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Licensing team, agency partners, and licensed employees.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support both individual and entity licensing processes, ensuring timely and compliant execution.
  • Oversee and contribute to reporting and auditing activities to ensure licensing records are accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Assist with licensing-related components of mergers and acquisitions, including post-close integration activities.
  • Provide comprehensive support to agents and carriers through clear, professional written and verbal communication.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date regulatory documentation in alignment with team standards and timelines.
  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and implementation of licensing processes to ensure compliance with state regulations and industry guidelines.
  • Analyze and resolve complex or non-routine licensing issues, escalating as appropriate.
