About The Position

The Associate Specialist, Procurement – DC Operations is responsible for supporting procurement activities within Distribution Center (DC) operations. This role ensures timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services, compliance with procurement policies, and optimization of supplier relationships to meet operational and strategic objectives. The position requires strong analytical skills, vendor management capabilities, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver high-quality DC Operations and client fit-out solutions.

Requirements

  • Understanding of DC Operations and fit-out procurement processes and supply chain principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement) and procurement tools.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in construction, data center fit-out projects, or facilities / DC Operations procurement.
  • Familiarity with strategic sourcing, vendor evaluation, contract negotiations and management.
  • Remain stationary for long periods of time.
  • Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.
  • Perform work during US business hours and time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in alignment with company policies.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support DC operations.
  • Monitor order status and resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantity, or delivery.
  • Resolve basic invoice queries and issues.
  • Assist in supplier selection, evaluation, and onboarding for fit-out projects.
  • Lead and support contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in supplier performance evaluations and support corrective actions when needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare procurement reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Ensure procurement systems and databases are kept accurate, up-to-date and ready for audit.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing information and procurement data within internal systems.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, SOX compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and contracts.
  • Work closely with DC operations, finance, and inventory teams to align procurement activities with operational needs.
  • Provide timely updates and reporting to stakeholders on procurement status and KPIs.
  • Prepare reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost trends.
  • Utilize ERP systems and procurement tools for data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Monitoring shared inboxes and responding to queries.
