About you and this role Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Sourcing Specialist ! This position can be located in Houston, TX or Freeport, TX. In this role, you will support sourcing activities including data management, special projects, and client service. You will create value by providing appropriate input, development and implementation of tactical sourcing activities and will work within defined processes and procedures or methodologies to determine the appropriate approach for new assignments.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or at least 6 years of relevant working experience or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience.
  • A minimum requirement for this US-based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence.
  • A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Labor & Services purchasing experience.
  • Experience with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, etc).
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Data management analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Work with system data on purchases and contract catalogs to identify value opportunities and develop plans to capture value while aligning with partner strategies.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data disconnects between the Sourcing and APAY teams, which impact the end-to-end process.
  • Support strategic sourcing projects.
