About The Position

Medtronic is recruiting for its Global Supply Management Leadership Development Program. Participants will rotate through three Global Supply Management assignments over two years, spending eight months in each, gaining specific job and industry knowledge in Supply Management. Located at their operational headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, participants will gain a broad range of experience and be exposed to a variety of business functions. Other benefits include an assigned mentor, access to strategic leaders, and continuous learning activities. This program is geared toward exceptional December 2025 or May 2026 graduates who demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills and are open to exploring a variety of Supply Management assignments. Following the two-year cycle, participants will transition to a new position within the company. Medtronic requires a minimum of 4 days a week onsite to foster professional growth and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 0 years of relevant experience
  • December 2025 or May 2026 graduate
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment (for roles below Principal level).

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management and sourcing expertise to cross-functional, cross-divisional commodity teams, with a focus on execution of Sourcing events (supplier quotes, questionnaires, RFPs, RFIs, and e-auctions) via the Ariba Sourcing Platform.
  • Supports both direct and indirect spend categories.
  • Facilitate these teams in developing and executing long-term strategies to optimize Medtronic's position across quality, cycle/response time, technology, risk, total cost, diversity, sustainability, and should-cost comparison.
  • Mitigate risk, leverage technology and purchase power, improve processes and systems, and reduce the overall cost of ownership and acquisition.
  • Participate in hands-on observational learning alongside Global Supply Management leaders.
