Requirements
- BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in software quality assurance, software validation, or a related role, preferably in an FDA-regulated environment.
- Basic understanding of software validation and software development life cycle requirements in regulated environments.
- Strong technical writing, interpersonal communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with product development and lifecycle processes for medical devices, including 510(k) and/or ISO-regulated product development.
- Familiarity with IEC 62304 and software lifecycle processes for medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Assists with software quality assurance efforts for new product development and product maintenance in R&D.
- Ensures new products are verified and validated prior to shipment release and meet user needs and requirements.
- Supports software quality processes, including risk analysis, requirements traceability, defect tracking, and configuration management, and helps implement, validate, and maintain the software tools that support these processes.
- Develop, extend, and execute test plans and protocols for Sciton’s medical devices, and write reports.
- Identify and correct defects with the software team.
- Perform risk analysis on software requirements and changes.
- Communicate significant issues and recommend process improvements.
