About The Position

ServiceNow is hiring an Associate Software Engineer to build cloud software for businesses using its development cloud platform. The role involves collaborating with developers in an agile environment, learning new areas, and taking ownership of customer-impacting features. The engineer will design features with a focus on quality and future product evolution, and participate in a Scrum-based process centered on design, coding, and debugging. This is a flexible hybrid position requiring two days per week in a ServiceNow office, located in either Kirkland, Washington, or Santa Clara, California. The role supports US Regulated Markets and is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship.

Requirements

Experience leveraging or critically evaluating how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, such as through AI-powered tools, workflow automation, AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s impact.
0+ years of professional work experience in software development.
Experience debugging and testing software through a CI lifecycle.
Experience with Java, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, and Oracle.
Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Working knowledge and ability to use tools for daily tasks, including an IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, and system administration or Unix tools.
