About The Position

Toshiba America Business Solutions is hiring an Associate Software Engineer II for a hybrid role in Lake Forest, California. Under management direction, the engineer reviews business requirements, drafts software designs for engineering-team review, estimates development work, implements and unit tests software functions to DSE standards, and collaborates with developers and QA to ensure test coverage and deliver high-quality software systems. The role also involves communicating task status, identifying risks, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical degree.
At least one year of software development engineering experience.
Skills in major programming languages such as C#, Java, and Python.
Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
Ability to write and optimize SQL statements and stored procedures.
Proficiency in web technologies such as ASP.NET or similar.
Experience with integrated development environments, test automation, and continuous development/continuous integration.
Familiarity with Agile SDLC methodologies.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

Review business requirements and draft software designs for approval by the engineering team.
Break down work items into tasks and provide development estimates.
Implement and unit test software functions in accordance with DSE standards.
Collaborate with developers and the QA team to ensure proper test coverage and resolve issues.
Communicate task status to team members and identify risk areas.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
