About The Position

The Associate Shipper/Receiver fills customer orders and stacks inventory using powered industrial trucks and other equipment. The role requires a strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Jacksonville, Florida. Travel and relocation are not available for this position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping experience.
• Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck Certification; certification will be provided at hire.
• D.O.T. HazMat Training; training will be provided at hire.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to communicate effectively in group settings and one-on-one with departments and personnel at all levels.
• Ability to prioritize safety and promote a safe work environment.
• Ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to multitask and take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with team members to accomplish group goals.
• Ability to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear regularly, and sit occasionally.
• Ability to position oneself as needed to operate equipment and to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer orders using a Personal Digital Assistant and palletize product (70%).
• Generate bills of lading, reports, and labels (15%).
• Maintain a clean work environment (10%).
• Receive and stock product, and complete company-required and assigned training (5%).
• Operate a forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
