Biologics Process Research & Development (BPR&D) is hosting a postdoctoral research fellowship within its Upstream Process Development group. The program provides postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to conduct academically focused research in a commercial pharmaceutical environment, using the resources and expertise of a leading pharmaceutical company. BPR&D develops innovative, robust manufacturing processes and technologies for biotherapeutics, collaborates across discovery, pre-clinical, development, analytical, formulation, and commercial manufacturing functions, and pursues next-generation approaches such as continuous manufacturing and sustainable processes. The fellow will join a multidisciplinary research program at the intersection of process development, systems biology, and analytical science. The project aims to improve mechanistic understanding of how manufacturing process modes affect cellular metabolism, product quality attributes, and process performance. The successful candidate will use experimental and data-driven approaches, collaborate with scientists across functions, and contribute to scientific publications and presentations. The project may extend for up to three years depending on demonstrated progress.
