About The Position

Performs in-vitro drug metabolism studies to assess the drug-like properties of drug candidates.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree and some relevant experience preferred
  • Able to execute experiments efficiently and suggest process improvements
  • Able to recognize patterns or inconsistencies in data results
  • Able to deduce meaningful results while conducting routine analyses or troubleshoot minor issues. Good knowledge of one scientific discipline
  • Developing knowledge of scientific principles, methods and techniques
  • Good knowledge and some experience working with discipline specific laboratory equipment/tools
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good computer skills
  • Developing communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking, planning and organization skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Understands importance of meeting deadlines
  • Some experience using laboratory automation
  • Some experience in conducting in vitro DMPK or related experiments

Responsibilities

  • Conducts in vitro experiments to characterize the DMPK properties of investigational drugs
  • Analyzes and assists in the reporting of high-quality data in a timely manner
  • Aids in the optimization of existing in vitro DMPK methods and in the development and implementation of new methods
  • Works collaboratively with other scientists, technicians and colleagues as part of the Metabolism and Enzymology function
  • Understands and interprets study protocols/SOP's to ensure that the tasks are conducted accurately
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary
