About The Position

Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology with a Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. This Associate Sales Representative (ASR) position within the Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) business unit is a remote role requiring the candidate to reside within the assigned territory and travel extensively. The ACM business unit focuses on improving patient outcomes through monitoring respiratory status and depth of sedation. The ASR will partner with field sales and clinical teams to execute sales activities, lead in-service sessions, and support business growth within the Sedation Management business. Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, the ASR will have individual quota responsibility and support business initiatives alongside assigned sales representatives. The role requires approximately 75% travel over a multi-state region, involving significant overnight travel and non-traditional hours. This role is based in Chicago, IL or Detroit, MI.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 0 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in sales, clinical, or related field within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Must live or be able to relocate within 50 miles of Chicago, IL or Detroit, MI.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization (for roles below Principal level).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1-3 years' previous field sales experience.
  • Prior medical device, business to business, or pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques.
  • Introductory knowledge of company products and services.
  • Demonstrable, consistent success in previous roles.
  • Strong customer focus in delivering sales and building relationships.
  • Understanding of vendor, distributor, hospital supply chain management.
  • Willingness to travel to support conversions for extended periods of time.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales activities and provide sales support within a key customer base.
  • Assist or lead in-service activities related to disposables and/or hardware within a key customer base.
  • Install necessary equipment/hardware and perform functional/safety tests.
  • Drive expansion of ACM products within the territory.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the sales team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and increased utilization.
  • Support conversions/sales efforts outside of the region as needed, including product introductions, demos, and inventory balancing.
