Parsons is seeking an Associate Roadway Engineer for its growing San Diego, California office. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Some related work experience and/or internships required
- Basic process engineering knowledge
- Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with other engineers and clients is required.
Nice To Haves
- Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of geometric design for highways and roads, including horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, super-elevation diagrams, gore details, vertical clearance calculations, and grading plans.
- May perform material quantity takeoffs, estimates, and surveys.
- Utilize design software to implement project designs.
- Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and other Engineers on the same project.
- Perform other responsibilities as appropriate for this position.
