About The Position

The Associate, Risk Governance role with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas focuses on performing monitoring and testing execution by business line to self-identify issues associated with high-risk processes, aiming to reduce operational risk within the businesses. This role involves attending regular meetings and collaborating with teams to discuss progress, results, and findings, as well as identifying risk themes across business lines. The associate will identify, analyze, and monitor areas of risk pertaining to business processes and controls, utilizing project management skills to prioritize tasks and workload. Key responsibilities include advising, challenging, and informing businesses on recommended ways to mitigate risk by reviewing action items to ensure sufficient risk addressing. The role also requires partnering with business lines to understand residual risks after issue resolution and applying lessons learned to improve the risk and control framework, as well as socializing these lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Analytics, Project Management, Business Data Science, Accounting, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Two (2) years of experience with navigating and analyzing complex data sets, concepts, and processes and controls.
  • Two (2) years of experience adapting and navigating various internal systems and tools to extract, interpret, and analyze data related to the business.
  • Two (2) years of experience working within project and workflow management systems for work tracking and reporting.
  • Two (2) years of experience articulating and communicating risk-related concerns to diverse stakeholder groups, tailoring communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Two (2) years of experience collaborating on a global team and building strong relationships with key stakeholders across various business functions.
