About The Position

Aon has an opportunity for an Associate, Retirement Consulting within its Wealth Solutions division. This role is for individuals with a background in Actuarial Science or Mathematics looking to join an industry-leading team at a global firm. The position involves providing consulting services and technical support to clients, producing and reviewing pension-specific calculations, preparing reports, and engaging in client presentations. The role also offers the chance to contribute to the creation of IT tools for efficiency improvements. Requirements

  • Relevant professional experience of 1 to 2 years
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint)
  • French / English bilingualism is required due to the frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally
  • Reacts voluntarily, quickly and efficiently to a changing work environment, priorities and situations

  • Have begun and aspire to complete and pass the courses, examinations and work experience requirements for Fellowship in the Canadian Institute of Actuaries

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting services and technical support to various clients
  • Produce and review pension-specific calculations, such as actuarial valuations, improvement studies and projections
  • Review of pension-specific benefit calculations according to the guidelines and methods established in the case of: termination of service, retirement, death, marriage breakdown
  • Preparation of annual reports, financial reports and statements for participants according to established standards and procedures
  • Prepare reports and letters and participate in other projects in the field
  • Engage in crafting effective oral presentations for existing and potential clients. Do this alone or with team members during business development and account management
  • Engage in the creation of IT tools to improve efficiency
