About The Position
The Associate Researcher is an entry-level laboratory research position in Dr. Batista Brito's Neurosciences lab. The role conducts routine and standardized experiments using techniques specific to the assigned research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or a senior researcher. The Associate Researcher assists with interpreting research outcomes and may provide laboratory and clerical support. The role also develops computational analysis pipelines and helps analyze experimental results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science or a related field preferred, or a combination of relevant research experience and education.
- 0–2 years of research or laboratory experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop pipelines for computational analysis.
- Qualitatively and quantitatively analyze experiments.
- Manage lab data, storage, and networks.
- Maintain the laboratory environment and assist with inventory upkeep, which may include ordering supplies.
- Log and test samples; prepare and submit laboratory materials and specimens for shipment.
- Assist in the collection, analysis, and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.
- Perform other related duties.
