About The Position
At Chase, Associate Relationship Bankers create memorable experiences for clients and employees by providing welcoming, attentive service and building lasting relationships. In a Chase Branch, the role represents the Chase brand and culture, combining banking knowledge and financial technology with friendly, consultative service. The Associate Relationship Banker welcomes and assists walk-in and scheduled clients in person and by phone, learns about their financial needs, and recommends relevant products and services. The role also educates clients about digital banking and ATM options, connects them with specialists for more complex needs, and follows banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position is subject to Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements and requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act.
Requirements
- Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
- Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Compliance with Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements; an offer is contingent on review of relevant background and financial information.
- NMLS registration under the SAFE Act, or an update to an existing registration, immediately after starting employment, with annual renewal and required updates.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail, Financial Services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, friendly service that puts clients first and creates a welcoming environment.
- Communicate clearly and consultatively, asking questions and listening to understand and anticipate client needs.
- Assist walk-in and scheduled clients in person and over the phone, build relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Educate and connect clients to technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
- Quickly and accurately learn products, services, and procedures to consult with clients about banking solutions.
- Collaborate with and connect clients to team experts for specialized financial needs.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
