As an Associate R&D Engineer based in Mansfield, MA , you will play a key role in the development of innovative Joint Repair technologies that help improve patient outcomes around the world. Working alongside a talented and collaborative new product development team, you will contribute across the full product lifecycle from concept through launch while gaining hands on experience in a fast paced, purpose driven environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
  • Approximately 0 to 3 years of engineering or product development experience within a regulated or technical environment.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks, mechanical design, stress analysis, manufacturing techniques, and statistics.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, follow, and continuously improve quality systems and processes.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% as required.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute as a technical team member on new product development projects focused on Sports Medicine solutions.
  • Design, develop, verify, and validate new products from concept through design transfer and product launch.
  • Create prototypes and support verification and validation testing, including authoring protocols and reports.
  • Develop and maintain design control documentation including user needs, design inputs, risk assessments, and usability assessments while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering and external suppliers to deliver manufacturable product designs.
  • Develop and validate biomechanical and mechanical testing methods for sports medicine repair devices.
  • Engage with surgeons, marketing, and sales teams to understand clinical needs and customer requirements.
  • Support intellectual property activities, competitive product analysis, and product performance evaluations.
