  • Familiarity with basic electrical test equipment, such as digital multimeters and bench power supplies.
  • Ability to use common hand tools and perform detailed assembly work with accuracy.
  • Practical troubleshooting skills and the ability to recognize when an issue requires engineering assistance.
  • Ability to document work clearly, follow configuration instructions, and communicate problems or proposed improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and an organized approach to tools, materials, and records.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks, adapt to changing project priorities, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment, software, fabrication methods, and technical processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and modify electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses, connectors, circuit boards, and prototype hardware using engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Perform soldering, wire preparation, crimping, connector installation, and basic circuit board assembly and rework under engineering direction.
  • Assist engineers with equipment setup, inspections, electrical measurements, functional testing, and troubleshooting of components and assemblies.
  • Identify and document defects, assembly issues, and test results; support repairs and modifications as directed.
  • Operate and maintain 3D printers, prepare approved files for printing, and perform basic finishing, inspection, and assembly of printed parts.
  • Record hardware configurations, component replacements, and assembly changes to keep build records accurate and current.
