This role involves undertaking projects, guided by R&D Chemists, to develop new grease formulations. The Associate R&D Chemist will produce laboratory and pilot scale batches of grease and oils to support new product development, and complete testing on samples to ensure products meet customer requirements. The position also includes researching grease formulation chemistry and applications, applying learnings to new projects, and keeping organized and detailed records of laboratory work using notebooks, electronic media, and SAP. Preparation and presentation of scientific reports based on laboratory work, assisting in maintaining laboratory equipment, and coordinating with R&D Chemist and Field Staff for external pilot and/or field trials of product technology are also key responsibilities.
