Associate R&D Chemist
About The Position
The Associate R&D Chemist will undertake projects, guided by R&D Chemists, to develop new grease formulations. This role involves producing laboratory and pilot scale batches of grease and oils to support new product development, and completing testing on samples to ensure products meet customer requirements. The position also includes researching grease formulation chemistry and applications, keeping organized and detailed records of laboratory work, and preparing scientific reports. Additionally, the Associate R&D Chemist will assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and coordinating with R&D Chemists and Field Staff for external pilot and/or field trials of product technology.
Requirements
- 0 to 2 years of experience in industrial research.
- Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft 365, Lotus Notes, SAP- preferred.
- Ability to learn and operate a wide variety of laboratory equipment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- BSc or MS Degree in Chemistry, Tribology Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science or related field of study (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Undertake projects, guided by R&D Chemists, to develop new grease formulations.

- Coordinate with R&D Chemist and Field Staff external pilot and or field trials of product technology.
