About The Position

Boeing Distribution, Inc. Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Associate Quality Inspector to join our team in Wichita, KS. This role involves verifying routine product conformance to design requirements, providing objective evidence of results, and segregating and controlling non-conforming items. The Associate Quality Inspector will perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance. Under limited supervision, they will inspect incoming parts/material, outgoing orders, verify certification correctness, check parts for processing, and handle special orders. Daily use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauge controls, and calipers is expected. This position also provides mentorship to the Inspection team and conducts dimensional and visual inspections per design records and documented AQL levels. A key responsibility includes reviewing and dispositioning all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards, communicating with vendors as needed, and managing the disposition and control of non-conforming products.

Requirements

2+ years’ related work experience using of calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator
2+ years’ experience in QA inspection methods and procedures
Reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

Inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc.
Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team
Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels
Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects
Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards
Communicate with vendor as needed
Disposition and control of on-conforming products
