This role involves assisting in coordinating and implementing quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost. The Associate Quality Control Engineer will respond to line calls with immediate corrective action, assist in developing long-range corrective measures through root-cause analysis, and provide accurate and timely data to management regarding quality concerns. The position also includes procuring gauges and measuring equipment, performing machine and gauge capability studies, and keeping management informed of progress and potential issues. Additionally, the role requires implementing and ensuring good health and safety practices, assisting in developing and implementing quality audits, coordinating problem-solving efforts, designing and implementing state-of-the-art process control programs for inspection, and maintaining good housekeeping practices. The engineer will stay updated on specifications, changing regulations, and industry standards, and will be responsible for writing and distributing quality data and reports, promoting a compliance culture, and performing special projects as required.
