The Associate Quality Control Chemist performs precise product evaluations according to established protocols and provides technical support to ensure departmental success. This role is responsible for maintaining laboratory operations and supporting group goals through various duties. The position requires performing routine assays and analytical evaluations of products and intermediates, ensuring results meet established specifications and unit operation requirements. It also involves reviewing stock suitability data in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines, supporting general quality review functions, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, the role manages laboratory support tasks such as equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, inventory restocking, and waste disposal. Identifying and implementing process improvements, communicating operational status and deviations, and performing procedures accurately and independently are key aspects of this role. The Associate Quality Control Chemist will also act as a technical resource by training personnel, resolving unsafe conditions, and participating in quality audits.
