This role involves constructing engineering samples and prototypes according to specifications and requirements, with guidance from the Engineering team. The technician will assist in organizing engineering build notes and documentation, and support engineers in creating build documentation. A key aspect of the role is providing feedback to design engineers through post-build reviews, design reviews, and documentation reviews. The position requires the ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, schematics, and sketches, and to support initial production builds and the transition from engineering to production. Responsibilities also include assembling component parts as per print, operating both manual and automatic machinery, and visually and/or dimensionally inspecting parts and assemblies for conformance to specifications. The technician will complete required Device History Records and other manufacturing documentation following Good Documented Practices (GDP), and identify and escalate quality non-conformances. Equipment setup for assembly/inspection will be performed as per work instructions or product configuration. Participation in team activities focused on process/product improvement, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction is expected. The role also includes performing other duties as required.
