About The Position

The Associate Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional projects with a strong focus on engineering, product development, and manufacturing initiatives. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with foundational engineering knowledge or exposure with project management skills in a manufacturing environment. The role partners closely with engineering, operations, quality, and business stakeholders to maintain project momentum, track deliverables, manage schedules, and facilitate communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, engineering or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, engineering support, or related roles.
  • Basic understanding of engineering or product development processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to manufacturing, medical device, or regulated industry environments.
  • Experience supporting engineers or engineering project teams.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Power Automate, or similar.
  • Exposure to test protocols, engineering change documentation, or business proposals.
  • CAPM® certification or formal project management training (or willingness to pursue).
  • Internship or co-op experience in engineering, operations, or project coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of engineering, product development, and manufacturing projects by coordinating schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Assist in maintaining detailed project plans, timelines, risk logs, and action item tracking.
  • Participate in cross-functional project meetings and document meeting notes, decisions, and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or schedule impacts, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Prepare project status reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support change management activities, including scope updates and documentation control.
  • Assist with project closeout activities, including lessons learned and final documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
