Associate Project Manager – Electrical Utilities
About The Position
The Associate Project Manager (APM) supports the delivery of electrical utility capital projects, including Major Project initiatives. The role coordinates project initiation, planning, design progression, construction readiness, and closeout activities. Projects may involve transmission, distribution, substations, underground infrastructure, and grid modernization. The position offers hands-on project management experience and opportunities to grow into a leadership role. The APM works across engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory teams, and may participate in site visits, inspections, and stakeholder communications. The role requires willingness to travel and work onsite as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in utility or construction projects.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and safety standards.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel and work onsite as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of complex electrical utility projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory teams.
- Track project progress and assist with documentation, permitting, and compliance.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate project initiation, planning, design progression, construction readiness, and closeout activities.
